La Fédération internationale des traducteurs décerne un prix international de traduction destiné à promouvoir la traduction d’œuvres écrites pour les enfants, à en améliorer la qualité et à mettre en relief le rôle des traducteurs dans le rapprochement culturel entre les peuples. Le prix est financé par le Fonds Astrid Lindgren, créé par une généreuse donation de l’auteur.
